From Thin to Thick: [Eager Zeroed Thick]
$ vmkfstools -i CentOS.vmdk -d eagerzeroedthick NewCentOS.vmdk

From Thin to Thick: [Lazy Zeroed Thick]
$ vmkfstools -i CentOS.vmdk -d zeroedthick NewCentOS.vmdk

From Thick to Thin:
$ vmkfstools -i CentOS.vmdk -d thin NewCentOS.vmdk
